As you know I am a producer based in East Anglia. Recently contemplating doing some work in the South West I thought I would check out SouthWest Screen's website. I was blown away, not just by the work you are doing but by the website itself. It is brilliant and offers me all the information I need as a producer in an accessible, easy to navigate, entertaining form.
I love the count down to iFeatures and - yes I will be submitting. This section of the website offers me everything I need to know about how to do that and what you are looking for. But I could also check out jobs, the kinds of work you've been commissioning, the opportunities available, your key people and their track records and how to contact them. So many websites are difficult to penetrate and even simple pieces of information like an address or phone number hard to find. I loved the clarity and transparancy - your programme was laid out before me like a patch work quilt - I could get a quick over view and then dive into individual squares for details.
Despite the fact that so much of our work is now done over the net I still find many organisations websites clumsy and frustrating. Yours was a joy to use. Congratualtions to the team who put it together.
